On May 11, 2022, just after 12:00 p.m., the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department (PFVFD) was alerted to the 600 block of Solomons Island Road (Fox Run Shopping Center) for a vehicle into the building and one patient reported unconscious.

On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Past Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Chief Timothy Delehanty was presented with the prestigious Leslie B. Thompson Memorial award. This year Delehanty also celebrates 50 years of responding to emergencies and helping citizens in the state of Maryland.

Congratulations to PFVFD’s Laney Wells for receiving a scholarship from the Ladies Auxiliary of the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association.

On April 28, 2022, at 4:20 a.m. Engine 22 and Tower 2 were dispatched to the 4600 block of Valley Court in St. Mary’s County for the working fire.

The event was watched closely by students at Calvert High School, in Prince Frederick, Md. and was in cooperation with the Chesapeake Region Safety Council. According to their Facebook page, “CHS Criminal Justice Students will portray the at-fault driver and victims.”

On April 12, 2022, the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department hosted a day of live training. Engine 22 and Squad 2 from the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department participated.

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, the leadership of Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department hosted the annual Super Saturday training. .

The planning for the 6th Annual Daring the Blaze 5k is underway. The event will take place Saturday, June 25, 2022 this year in the heart of Dares Beach right in Prince Frederick, Md.
