On September 30, 2019, a local citizen in Prince Frederick spotted a glow off Adelina Road and called 911. PFVFD was initially dispatched for a smoke investigation and the call ultimately lead volunteers to the Running Hare Vineyard.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire in the production facility building. Crews operated on the scene for a couple of hours.

According to CBS, the fire caused $2.5 million in damages and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
