Weekend Fire For Company 2 Crews

On August 11, 2018 just after 6:30 a.m. the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department responded to the southern end of Calvert County for a house fire.

Engine 22, Squad 2 and Fire Chief Fred Holzberger arrived on scene in the 13000 block of Mills Creek Road with fire showing from the back of the home. The crew from Engine 22 was initially established as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), but that assignment changed within moments. Firefighters from Engine 22 were reassigned to help other crews in the back of the house with extinguishing the fire.

Squad 2 also arrived and tackled the garage area where they found fire hiding in the attic space. Those flames were put out. Crews from Company 2 operated on the scene for over an hour before returning to the station.
