On May 17, 2021, Tower 2, Tanker 2 and Chief 2-A were called to a working house fire in the 12500 block of Childress Road in Chesapeake Ranch Estates. The call went out just after 1 p.m. for smoke showing and fire in the attic of this single family home.

Engine 22 supplied the fire ground and assisted with extinguishment, the crew from Tower 2 assisted with ladders and opening up the home. Crews from neighboring St. Mary’s County from Hollywood and Bay District Volunteer Fire Departments were also called to the location to assist.

Units were on the scene for under two hours and the cause is under investigation.
