Daring the Blaze 5K

Well, it is that time of year again that Daring the Blaze 5-Kilometer Run/Walk will be taking place in the Dare Beach Community. So, if you are into running or walking for a good cause please consider this, we will be on hand supporting all the involved or participating . We would like to call out Noah, as he has been the race master for 9 years now, thank you sir.

Greetings Intrepid Runners and Walkers,
I hope that this update finds you well. Get ready for Dares Beach’s 8th Annual Daring the Blaze 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, June 28, 2025! The check-in/race day registration starts at 7 AM, and the race starts at 8 AM. The race benefits our local heroes at the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department.

I also use this page to post about other upcoming local races throughout the year.
Once again K2 Race Management and Timing Services will be timing the race, and we will be using the same memorable course, so those that are more competitive can enjoy the additional challenge of going for an age group record (current course records are attached as well). We look forward to former sponsors partnering with us and hopefully additional ones!
If you are unable to make it on race day, you can opt to compete virtually anytime between Saturday, June 28th through 5 PM on Saturday, July 5th. Awards for the virtual race will be certificates sent emailed to award winners in the virtual race. Details on the optional ZOOM awards ceremony for the virtual race will be forthcoming.
If you are not available to participate in either the live or virtual race, but would like to donate to the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, go to their website www.pfvfd.org and select the ‘Donate’ option in the upper right.
