Crews Battle Small Fire On Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend, Small Fire

On Saturday, March 31, 2018, just after 4 p.m. The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding stations were alerted for a house fire in the 3900 block of Hallowing Point Road.

Dispatchers at Calvert Communications advised units responding the access to the residence would be from Thunder Hill Drive.

Engine 21 and Chief 2C arrived on the scene to find a 2.5 story ballon frame construction, single family home with smoke showing from side Bravo. Engine 21 deployed a 250 feet preconnect and located a fire on the exterior of the home coming from the crawl space access.

Engine 21 and Tower 2 made quick work of the fire while Engine 71 and Engine 61 checked the floors above and completed searches. Command quickly scaled back to Engines 2, 7, 6 and Tower 2.

The scene was turned over the the Fire Marshal’s office for further investigation.
