Engine 21 Responds To South View Drive Working Fire

On January 17, 2021, just before 4 p.m., the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department (PFVFD) responded to a working fire reported on South View Drive in Huntingtown, Md. Engine 21 was the first on the scene and had heavy fire showing from the garage.

Crews made a swift and aggressive attack, stopping the flames from spreading to the main portion of the home. Chief 6 (Huntingtown) held command of the incident, while PFVFD Chief 2-A E. Holzberger had interior.
The homeowners and all four of their dogs made it out safely. Those animals were held inside Chief 2-A’s command unit until it was safe to be reunited with their family.

No injuries on the scene and the crews were released in less than two hours.
