4-16-07 The Prince Frederick
Volunteer Fire Department wishes to express our deepest
condolences to the Prince William County Fire Department and
family of Kyle Wilson who was tragically killed in the line of
duty. Technician I Wilson was operating with Tower 512 on a
house fire in Woodbridge, VA in the early hours on Monday.
Brother Wilson entered the house to conduct a search of
trapped occupants. When his exit was blocked by fire, brother
Wilson transmitted a Mayday that activated the RIT group.
Sadly, by time RIT reached brother Wilson, he had succumbed to
the fire. All occupants made it out safely. This is the first LODD for PWC Fire and
Rescue in it's 41 year history. Brother Wilson, you've
made the supreme sacrifice and will forever be our hero.
