22, 2008 - At 0854 hours, Engine and Truck Company 2 were
alerted to Box 1-04 for a Hazardous Materials spill. E22,
TL2, Tnk2 and AFC D'Agostino responded to the Naval Research
Lab in Chesapeake Beach. First arriving units found a 20,000
gallon fuel tank leaking chemicals after high heat boiled
the liquid over. After taking samples of the chemicals, the
Tower Ladders were placed in service to cool the tank down.
E22 supplied Tower 1 during operations. The scene was turned
over to the NDW after operating for just over 3 hours.
